James Zapf (Jim) is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the State of Ohio. He received Bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration and Psychology in 1987 from Grace College in Winona Lake, IN. The following year, he graduated with a Master’s degree in Counseling from Grace Theological Seminary. He completed clinical endorsement coursework through Heidelberg College in Tiffin Ohio in 1997. Jim is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in psychology through Walden University with anticipated completion date of May 2006.
Jim has worked in a variety of counseling environments since his 1988.
He has experience in an intensive residential setting for adolescents, public and private outpatient counseling, geriatric counseling, and partial hospitalization programs. He has also taught classes at both the bachelor’s and master’s levels.
While Jim works with multiple problem areas as a counselor, he has developed a special interest in marriage and relationship counseling, sexual addictions counseling, sexual abuse recovery, identity issues and spiritual concerns.
On a personal note, Jim and his wife have 8 children and enjoy being involved in their activities. Jim coaches a Bible Quiz team for his teenage children through his church. Jim truly enjoys the work that he does with individuals, couples and families and looks forward to meeting with new clients to offer hope in what often seems to be a hopeless situation.
